Meet the Photographer

Greetings!

I'm Lisa Whitlock of Queen's Ransom Photos 22 (QRP22).  The name of my business was influenced by my love for yellow roses, particularly one of my favorites called "King's Ransom."  I was born and raised in northern California.  I'm also a college graduate of Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, CA where the "Learn by Doing" motto inspired me to start my own photography business.  I specialize in fine art landscape photography.

My passion for photography began in high school when I purchased my first 35mm film camera.  I've always loved capturing the natural beauty around us and will often take the path less traveled to get that lucky shot!  My curiosity and joy in being outside with a camera has led me to some of the most amazing places. Recently, at the National Environmental Health Association's 2023 Environmental Public Health Photography Contest, I was awarded Second Place in the "Healthy Communities or Focused Populations Category." I also received honorable mention from The Image Flow Photography Center in San Anselmo, CA for Photo of the Month-October 2023: Dark exhibition.  The selected photo is called "Good Luck" which is located in my Halloween Collection. In addition, Las Laguna Gallery, Laguna Beach, CA includes my photos in their electronic online exhibitions: May show -2024 Botanical: "Best of Luck;" January show - 2024 Black, White or Gray: "A Peaceful Pastime;" December show -2023 Small Works: "Jack" located in my Halloween Collection; November show -2023 Flash Point: "After the Blaze;" and October show -2023 Art That Tells Stories: "Survival." My photographs showcase diverse perspectives and artistic design.

My hope is you will be inspired by my photos and want to have one that you can admire for many years.  I offer fine art prints available for purchase in the following collections:  Abstract, Black and White, Desert, Halloween, Lake Tahoe, Seascape, and Tropical.

Through my art, I strive not only to inspire but also to advocate for the preservation of our natural treasures. Each collection serves as a reminder of nature's elegance and with our effort can remain pristine for years to come.  It's a call to action for all to become stewards of our planet.  Together we can make a difference for future generations.

Cheers,

Lisa
